AUCKLAND RUGBY REFEREE RETIRES
At last night’s meeting of the Auckland Rugby Referees’ Association Mr. W. J. Meredith signified his intention of retiring from active Refereeing after 25 years’ service in different parts of New Zealand.
It was reported that Mr. J. Hendrey’s trophy for the most improved referee during the present season had oeen awarded to Mr. P. Stubbing, who was congratulated on his good work by the chairman.
