UNEMPLOYMENT RELIEF
EX-SERVICEMEN’S EFFORT
The recently-formed ex-Servicemen’s Club at Devonport, of w r hich Mr. W. E. L. Napier is chairman and Mr. H. Woolf secretary, has set in motion a plan for ! relieving unemployment among re- ' turned soldiers and sailors.
A “flag” day is set down for Friday and arrangements have been made for funds from picture and other entertainments to be credited to the club. It is hoped to get a Government subsidy of £ for £ on money raised.
