FACULTY OF THE ARTS
UNIVERSITY APPROACHED SOCIETIES MIGHT GIVE AID “I am still hopeful of something coming out of this,” said the Hon. George Fowlds at a meeting of the University Council yesterday, when a letter was received from Mr. R. A. Lippiricott, who suggested that the Society of Arts, the Amateur Operatic Society, the Little Theatre and other organisations should co-operate with the College in the establishment of a Faculty of Fine Arts. It was decided to make some inquiries before appointing a sub-com-mittee to confer with representatives of the Society of Arts.
