GIRLS’ HOCKEY
MATCH AT THAMES THE JOHNSTON CUP (From Our Own Correspondent) 9 THAMES, To-day. The wind and rain did not prevent the Hauraki Plains ladies’ hockey team playing Thames on the high school ground last Saturday afternoon. The match was for Messrs. Johnston Bros.’ cup, and Thames proved the winners by . 6 goals to 1. The victor’s goals were shot by Misses P. Boyle (4), J. Gordon and N. Nankwell (1 each). Mr. A. J. Broken shire had charge of the game.
