OLD MAN KILLED
COLLISION WITH LORRY Press Association. HASTINGS, Monday. Patrick Diamond, aged 73, was knocked down in the street on Friday as a result of a collision with a motorlorry. He died in the Napier Hospital this morning'. The driver, Claud Mudgway, was crossing the railway line, when a noise behind him caused him to look back, and just then the vehicle struck Diamond, who was thrown to the ground between Uie wheels, which, however, did no' over him.
On removal to :tal the old man’s condition was rc d as satisfactory, but he gradually sank.
