CHALLENGE DEBATE

CONTEST AT PAPATOETOE The subject for debate at the last meeting of the Papatoetoe Literary and Debating Society was: “That the Supremacy of the Sea Will Ultimately Submit to the Supremacy of *he Air.” The negative team was Miss L. Roseware, Messrs. E. Franklin and Mellsop, and the affirmative was taken by Mr. J. Leonard, Miss Wakelin and Mr. C. Moore. After a very interesting debate Mr. R. Bell, of Auckland, who acted as judge, awarded the, honours of the evening to the negative team.
