ONE FOR HIS KNOB.—When two burglars forced the door of this shop at the corner of Mount Albert and Domin ion Road, they found an unpleasant surprise waiting for them in the shape of a baton, held in the hand of the storekeeper’s son, Mr. F. G. Watkinsori. The first “visitor” received a knock on the head with the useful weapon pictured above. The second was stopoed with a well-aimed bottle. The third photograph shows the accused men being escorted to the Black Maria.
