RAPID DISEMBARKATION.—The excellent dispatch with which passengers and their baggage are dealt with at Cherbourg and Southampton was strikingly illustrated at a recent arrival of the White Star liner Majestic from New York (states the “Syren and Shipping”). At the former port she landed nearly 1,500 passengers with 100 tons of luggage in 100 minutes, five special trains waiting to take them to Paris.
