RUGBY REACTION
Some idea of how public interest in Rugby has waned in Hawke's Bay since the Ranfurly Shield has been lost to it may be gained from the fact that at the last few games the takings have been a third less than was the case when Hawke’s Bay was the premier Rugby province.
