THE GLEN EDEN TOWN BOARD having obtained the sanction of The Local Government Loans Board to raise a special loan for the purpose and on the terms herein mentioned, herebv gives notice, pursuant to Section 10 of The Local Bodies Loans Act, 1926: 1. That the Glen Eden Town Board proposes to engage in the following undertaking, namely, the formation, metalling and improvement of Brandon Road, Clayburn Road and Waima Road, within the Town District, and being unable to provide the funds for such undertaking out of its ordinary revenue proposes to raise a special loan to be known as “Road Improvement Loan, 1927, ’ for the purpose of such work. 2. The sum proposed to be borrowed for such purpose is £2,000 (Two Thousand Pounds). 3. That the said loan will be repayable at the end of 26 years with in terest* at a rate not exceeding £6 per cent, per annum, and with provision for a, sinking fund of 2 per cent, per annum. 4. That the proposed security for the loan shall be a special rate of 27-64ths (twenty-seven sixty-fourths) of one penny in the £1 on the rateable value (based on the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Glen Eden Town District. 5. That it is proposed to pay out of the loan the costs, charges and expenses of and in connection with the raising thereof, but not the interest or the sinking fund thereon for the first year. 6. A copy of the resolution of the Local Government Loans Board, sanctioning the loan, certified by the Chairman of that Board, may be seen at the Office of the Glen Eden Town Board, Public Hall, Glen Eden, during office hours.
