TECHNICAL COLLEGE PLAN SEDDON MEMORIAL MEDALS A scheme for awarding prizes to pupils of the Seddon Memorial Technical College who produce work of exceptional merit was submitted to a meeting of the Board of Managers yesterday afte.raoon by the principal, Mr. G. J. Park. Mr. Park suggested that special prizes, in the form of gold medals, to be called ‘‘Seddon Memorial Medals” should be offered, commencing this > ear, for exceptionally high-class work io carpentry, joinery, cabinet-
making, engineering, painting ** decorating, printing and plumbingHe hoped it might be possible induce the Associations of Employ*; and Employees to provide the pnje* and to appoint judges from the tries to w'hich the student belon g*®He felt convinced that students _ the Technical College wculd look the winning of such medals a® special recommendation, and employers would know that the n • would bo expert’in the jiractice or trade. After some discussion the P“OPY was referred to the executive mittee for further consideration.
