George Leading in Rotorua Golf
THREE-UP ON PLUMLEY BIG JUNIOR LEAD (Special to THE SUN.) ROTORUA, To-day. Playing excellent golf under good conditions Rex George, Titirangi, at Rotorua this morning established a lead of 3 up on H. Plumley, Middlemore, in the first 18 holes of the final of the Rotorua, championship. In the junior cup final C. P. Howden established somewhat of a walkaway, being 8 up on P. C. Niccolls when the pair went to lunch. N.Z. LADIES’ MEETING 32 FOR CHAMPIONSHIP Press Association. PALMERSTON N., To-day. For the 31st New Zealand ladies’ golf championship tourney, commencing on September 29, so far 87 entries have been received, of whom 32 are eligible to play for the championship.
