OTAGO TOO GOOD FOR MANAWHENUA

WIN AT “DEATH-KNOCK” Press Association. LEVIN, Wednesday. After a fast, open game, played under perfect weather conditions, the Otago touring representative Rugby team defeated Manawhenua on the Levin Domain by 12 points to 11. Otago won on the call of time and owes its victory to its clever forwards. The visitors’ backs were quick to seize opportunities. Territorially Manawhenua held the advantage, but lack of finish at the crucial moment robbed the team of points. The scoring would have been considerably larger on both for weak goal kicking.
