Auckland Rugby Leaguers on Tour
MATCH ON WEST COAST BIG WIN FOR VISITORS Press Association. GREYMOUTH, Wednesday. The Auckland Rugby League representatives defeated a combined "West Coast team by 42 points to 15 in a match played at Greymouth to-day, under good conditions. A fine exhibition of team work was given by the winners, the backs and forwards combining at eyery opportunity. The defective home tackling served to augment the winners’ score. The outstanding visitors were Prentice, Wetherill, Wilson, O’Brien, and Summers. The best local players were Goodall, Griffiths, and Davis. Tries were scored for Auckland by Little 3), Wilson (3). Wetherill (2). Dufty, Payne. Bass, and List. Wilson converted two, and Dufty one. For the losers, Goodall scored twice, and Griffiths once, McElwee converting each try.
