PRINCES FROM CANADA A STRENUOUS TOUR By Cable. —Press Association.—Copyright Reed. 11.27 a.m. RUGBY, Wednesday. The Prince of Wales and Prince George were to-day back in England from their visit to Canada. Their arrival, both at the Port of Southampton and at Waterloo Station. London, was devoid of ceremony. The only touch of formality was the reading of a short address at Southampton by the Mayor. Despite the informality of their home-coming, however, large crowds gathered at Southampton and at the Waterloo Station and cheered the Princes. Captain Alan Lascelles, a member of the Prince of Wales’s suite, stated that the Prince was fine and well after a very strenuous time. “We have had a wonderful and eventful trip to and from Canada, and everyone has enjoyed it. The Prince was simply delighted with his visit to the Dominion, and was particularly impressed by the development of the mining industry/* It was pointed out that the Princes’ visit was a story of long hours of travel and countless ceremonies. He went to see his ranch, but actually had only about two clear days there. The remainder of his time was occupied by official visits and travels to the Rocky Mountains and the Pacific seaboard- He enjoyed a rest on the voyage home in the liner Empress of Scotland, but entered wholeheartedly into the amusements on board, showing the same informality as has distinguished the whole of the tour. — A. and N.Z.
