ACCIDENT AT WAIHI

ENGINEER’S FOOT CRUSHED BIG TUBE MILL SLIPS Press Association. WAIHI, To-day. \n accident, by which John Ridgwell, a member of the engineering staff at the Waihi Goldmining Company's Waikino mill, narrowly escaped losing his right foot, occurred this morning. Ridgwell, at the moment, was engaged in the fitting shop when a one-ton tube mill slipped, one end striking his big toe and crushing it seriously. He was conveyed to Waihi for surgical treatment.
