CUR OR HOUND? THAMES FOOTBALL QUARREL {From Our Own Correspondent.) THAMES. To-day. A full meeting of the Thames Rugby Union was held last evening, Mr. R. M. Rhodes presiding, to inquire into the hooting of the referee in the match last Saturday between the second and third grade teams. One Player was alleged to have called ttie leteree “a dirty cur.” The captain of the junior team attended, and admitted the hooting. buc stated that the referee had not •teen called "a dirty cur,” the appellation used being ‘you are a dirty Hound." The union severely reprimanded the learn for its ungentlemanly behaviour, aa< * called upon the captain of the teajn to apologise to the referee, Mr. Hen oerjon.
