CONCERT AT MANGERE
FINE PROGRAMME PRESENTED A very successful concert', arranged by Mr. Drayton Venables, was held in the Mangere East Hall last night in aid of the public school funds. There was a good attendance of scholars, parents, and friends, and appreciation of the good programme presented was spontaneous. The hall had been very tastefully decorated for the occasion, and presented a gay appearance, with multi-coloured streamers and balloons. The contributors to the programme were Mr. C. Turner, Mr. Alan Richardson, Miss Jean Meikle, the Hello Quartet. Miss Doris Moore, Miss Isabella Johns, Mr. T. Haworth, Mr. Francis Turner, Mr. Ker, Mr. J. Sharp. Mr. Milton West, Misses Olive Ferry, and Gladys Marr, Mr. C. Cameron. Mr. J. Hill. Miss Hazel, the Hello Three, Miss Ferry, Mr. Martin Richardson. Mr. J. Sharp, and Mr. Turner. The accompanists for the evening’s programe were Mrs. W. Miller. Miss Aileen Beresford. and Miss Ker.
