PROMINENT IN BUSINESS
Ttl'jß. GEORGE C. CREAGH, member of the Auckland Stock Exchange for over 20 years, and chairman since 1920. Ticice during that period he has been entrusted xoith the presidency o] the Neva Zealand Stock Exchange Asand this year holds the position of vice-president.
MR. G. C. CREAGH, Chairman, Auckland Stock Exchange. Born at the Thames, Mr. Creagh, who has handled big business during his career, alloued his predilection for finance to draw him early in life. His first job that counted teas with the Bank of New Zealand. From there he graduated to the office of the "Waihi Gold Mining Company, and quickly worked his way up to a position where he had a big say in the management of the company's local activities. There was more attraction in handling shares than gold, however , and in 1907 he hung up his shingle as a slock and sharebroker in Auckland. In his earlier days Mr. Creagh mixed sport iciih business and. in addition to being a keen footballer, was a member of the Garrison Artillery.
