The immense establishments required for the manufacture of motor-cars are well indicated by this photograph. This is part of the chassis assembly room for one particular make of car. In other buildings are housed the engine assembly and body assembly. Note the travelling platform. This is moving forward slowly and as the chassis passes each man he fits one small piece. The above photograph is taken in the Durant Company’s factory for “Rugby” cars, at Leasides, Toronto, Canada.
