INTER-ISLAND LEAGUE MATCH
SOUTH ISLAND TEAM One of the big events of the League Rugby season will be the inter-island match at Auckland next Saturday week. The South Island team was announced yesterday. Sullivan, the fullback, is said to be a rival to Gregory. J. Sanders is well known here, and was a member of the 19.26 New Zealand team. The nost brilliant five-eighth in the League code is the praise accorded McKeown, of Otago. Woods Is evidently a highclass half-back. Gooda.l and Eeko.7 are considered * equal to any League forwards that have represented the South Island. It is interesting to note that Townsend, who was recently transferred to Dunedin from Auckland, is in the pack. • The following team 1 as been selected to represent the South Island: —FuLback. Sullivan (Otago); ihreequarlers, Blackaby (Canterbury*, Robins (Canterbury), Sanders (Canterbury): five* eighths.
