GRAND

“THE AUCTIONEER” Marion Nixon, one of the most gifted of the younger actresses in motion pictures to-day, gives a fine performance in “The Auctioneer,” Fox Filins' version of the stage success, which is being shown at the Grand. Miss Nixon plays the part of a little Irish girl who had, years before, been adopted by two Russians on their way to New York. Her love scenes with Gareth Hughes are particularly appealing. Miss Nixon’s ability has great rang© for on© so young. Alfred E. Green directed the film in masterly fashion, incorporating some fine New York atmosphere scenes. George Sidney, star of stage and screen, plays the title role. Doris Lloyd plays Sidney’s wife. Others in the cast include Ward Crane and Sammy Cohen.
