BACK TO HOSPITAL

AVONDALE CR.’S RELAPSE The friends of Mr. W. H. Manning will regret to hear that he has suffered a relapse, and has been compelled to retufn to the Auckland Hospital for treatment. It will be remembered that a bedside meeting of the Avondale Borough Council was held recently at the institution, in which Mr. Manning was a patient, owing to his inability to attend a meeting of the authority at Avondale. Mr. Ellis, another member of the defunct council who was unable to attend a meeting of the council when his services were urgently required, through absence from the Dominion, is expected to arrive back, with Mrs. Ellis, from the Islands to-day.
