BRITISH K.C. ON VISIT TO NEW ZEALAND “Just on business” was how the Right Hon. Edward Shortt, K.C., described the reason for his visit to New Zealand. He arrived by the Niagara to-day and will spend some time in the Dominion. Mr. Shortt was Chief Secretary for Ireland from 191 S to 1919 and Home Secretary from 1919 to 1922. He was a member of the Lloyd George Cabinet for five years. From 1910 to 1922 he was M.P. for West Newcastle.
