NOT A MIRACLE MAN
MODEST VORONOFF BRINGING BACK YOUTH r,y Cable.—Press Association.—Copyright BUDAPEST, Sunday. The delegates at the International Conference of Zoology gave a rousing reception to Professor Voronoff. In his address he said he had seen an American woman journalist, who had taken the monkey gland treatment, in a perfect youthful condition at the age of 65. “Women are wiser than men. They come for rejuvenation at an earlier age,*' said the professor. "I have definitely rejuvenated 1,000 people, chiefly doctors, novelists and journal“l am no miracle worker. .1 merely assist nature. I am at present working on diabetes, but my experiments are insufficiently advanced to enable me to draw any conclusions.'* The speaker referred to his experiments on Algerian sheep. He said that with the help of two assistants he made 12 transplantations of glands and they found every day a good effect on the quality of the wool grown by the animals which were being treated and on the successive generations of lambs. If sheep owners throughout the world would immediately put his method in o practice, he said, the world’s supply of mutton would be increased by one-fifth in slightly over a year, and the world’s supply of wool would be increased by at least 25 per cent, compared with the production to-day.—A. and N.Z.
