COMPETITION

FOR THE LITTLE ONES HPHE following comes from Sunbeam Jean Mclndoe, who won first place in the last poetry competition:—“l was very pleasantly surprised when I saw in Saturday’s Happy Town page that I had again won first prize in the poetry competition. However, I do not think I should accept the prize this time as this is my third win, so I would like you very much to have an extra competition of any kind you think best, for the little Sunbeams under ten years of age and award the winner my prize. I have noticed that numbers of young Sunbeams are coming to Happy Town and I think they might like a competition all to themselves.” Sunbeams, or prospective Sunbeams under ten, are therefore invited to write a short story not exceeding 300 words, the entries to reach the Dawn Lady not later than Saturday, September 17. The stories should be endorsed “Original” and written on only one side of the paper, the winning competitor to be permitted a choice of book. It is to be hoped that the little ones will all take advantage of Jean’s generous offer.
