Scottish Friesian Records. —It is the custom of the British Friesian Cattle Society, writes a Scottish correspondent, to offer annually 30 cups for those members whose herds head their local milk recording societies. The.distinction of being the leader of the whole 30 cup winners has this year fallen to

Mr. Andrew Spence, Commieston, Forfarshire, the average for his herd being 1,315 gallons of milk- The next best was 1,304 gallons, by the herd owned by Mr. J. L. Evans, a Shropshire breeder. The two other Scotsmen who gained cups were Mr. Thomas Barr, Tyneside, East Lothian, with an average of 1,210 gallons for his herd, and Mr. John Craig, Cart, Renfrewshire, whose herd average was 1,161 gallons. Herds with less than 10 full-year cows were disregarded in making the awards.
