The control of brown rot in citrus trees was discussed by Mr. Rice, wlic advised dressing the soil round the tree with pulverised sulphate of iron The lower branches of the tree shoulc be cut 20 inches clear of the ground As another precaution, the trees shoulc ho sprayed twice during the winte: with Bordeaux mixture to protect the upper parts from chance spores. The association arranged to hole the next general meeting in Taurangi in October.
