AUCKLAND SOCCER TEAM ON TOUR
S. CANTERBURY BEATEN Press Association. TIMARU, Wednesday. The Auckland touring Association football team defeated South Canterbury to-day by 5 goals to 0. The game was not of an interesting nature on account of the weak opposition offered to the visitors, who held the upper hand throughout. The visiting forwards gave a clever exhibition and were well supported by the halves, who had no difficulty in stopping the solo efforts of the home forwards. The latter lacked combination and had only two shots during the game, both failing. Goals were scored for Auckland by Spencer (2), Christie, Chalmers and Humphrey.
