N.Z. GOLF COUNCIL’S ANNUAL MEETING
NEXT CHAMPIONSHIP AT DUNEDIN (From Our Own. Correspondent.) a HAMILTON, To-day. At the annual meeting of the New Zealand Golf Association, held at Hamilton last night, a striking tribute was paid to the late chairman, Mr. R. C. Kirk, when a resolution was passed, placing on record his great ser/ices to golf, and expressing sympathy with his relatives. It was decided, by 63 votes to 23, that the next New Zealand championship meeting be held at the Balmacewan course at Dunedin, provided it was found to be satisfactory. The present system of handicapping was criticised, and the council was recommended to adopt the system in vogue in Britain. The old council was re-elected.
