RESURRECTION
DOLORES DE RIO’S CHANCE When “Resurrection” had its Los Angeles premiere it tire Criterion Theatre, Rod La Roque, the star of the film, performed a gracious and unusual act. La Roque stood or the stage at the conclusion of the picture, while the audience applauded. Suddenly he put up his right hand U halt them. “I am not really the star of this picture,” La. Roque said, quietly, smilingly. The audience, composed largely of Hollywood celebrities, moved uneasily at the strange speech. The lady who is the real star of the film is sitting up there in her box. I wonder if sire won’t come down to the stage?” The audience turned and saw Dolores del Rio in the box. Miss del Rio. featured in the picture, came down to the stage and s _ ood with La Roque as the audience, Hollywood-wise, applauded the unusual tribute from a star to a member Df the supporting cast.
