HIS NATURAL LIFE”

STRAND TO-MORROW Miss Marian Marcus Clarke, who is a daughter of the author of “For the Term of His Natural Bife,” which will be screened at the Strand Theatre tomorrow, has a splendid role herself in the picture, which has been adapted to the screen from her father’s novel. As Bady Devine she has an excellent opportunity of showing Australians the high standard of her artistic talent. Although she has done much literary work, she is not new to the theatrical profession, having played, on the stage in America for six years, where one of her best roles was the missionary’s wife in "Rain,” which she played for 40 weeks. Miss Clarke was also Registrar of Births and Deaths in Melbourne, a position which was also held by her mother and sister. She also played in “Seventh Heaven,” staged in Sydney under the J. C. Williamson management. Her various literary efforts are well known, and, in conjunction with the late Mr. Ernest Clarke, she has dramatised all her father’s works. When “For the Term of Elis Natural Bife” was completed, she devoted herself again to her literary pursuits. In addition to this big picture, the latest topical budgets and world news will be shown. A special musical score will be played by the Strand Symphony Orchestra, under the direction of EVe Bentley'. “Rose of England,” will be played as the overture.
