WARATAHS WIN FIRST MATCH

The New South Wales fifteen won its first match of the tour of Britain, defeating Plymouth Albion by 21 points to 11. The team gave a good exhibition. The Waratahs proved themselves past-masters at quick passing at high speed. They gave a good exhibition of speed and co-operation, bursting through a determined opposition. At half-time the Waratahs sent on twelve (?) fresh men.—A. and N.Z.Sun. The New Zealanders, in the first match of the 1924 tour, beat Devon by 11 to 0. The 1905 team, opening against the same county, won by the sensational score of 55 to 4, Plymouth Albion is a club team.
