At the sitting of the Royal Commission which is inquiring in;o the conduct of the Industrial Commis•ioner, Mr. A. B. Piddington, counsel [or "he secretary of the Graziers’ Asiooiation, Mr. Allen, said his client, in an article which he sent to the Press, made the definite charges that Mr. Piddington’s judgments during he whole time of his appointment ,vere tainted by political bias; that his declarations of a living wage were unrinstitutional and did not conform -.vith the provisions of the Act under which they were made, and, finally, that on the eve of an election he allowed his actions and judgments to be governed by political considerations and influences. Counsel said further charges were endorsed by the council oi the Oraziers’ Association of New South Wales. —A. and N.Z.
