At the home turn Tea Time and Maui were three lengths clear of Panther and Liason, with Catkin. Aro de Yal and Wild Pigeon next. Tea Time
• went on to win by a length and a-half i from Ma\ti, Avith Vigilance a head awav i third, and Wild Pigeon, Catkin and Liaj son in a line. Arataura set a warm pace, and passing the stands was seA-en lengths clear of Peshwa. with Troilus. Just John. San Pedro, Tawehi, Brigadier Bill and Koauau folio-wing in that ord?r. The leader began to weaken crossing the top, Troilus being the first to turn for home from Arataura and San Pedro, who fell at the last fence, Peshwa, Tawehi and Just John. Going away Troilus won easilv by four lengths from Peshwa who was three parts of a length ahead of Arataura. Just John Avas fourth and Tawehi and Koauau next.
