RICH GOLD REEF FOUND AT THAMES

LUCKY SHOT MINE EXCITEMENT PREVAILS (From Our Own Correspondent.) THAMES, To-day. THERE is much excitement here over a rich reef being discovered in the Lucky Shot gold mine. The leader has been followed for 40 feet, and has widened out to 18 inches, gold showing the whole length of the drive. A band of gold-bearing quartz, two inches wide, is showing in the hanging wall, and other quartz veins appear to be running in from the footwall. Appearances indicate a further widening of the leader.
