As a further indication of the progress being made in Dominion Road, this reproduction of a block of shops just completed speaks for itself. Known as the Penrose Building, it is a brick and concrete structure designed by Mr. R. B. Young. There are three shops, all of which are faced with ornamental marble squares. The interior of the premises are well ventilated and appointed in the most modern style. The suspended verandah sets off the building, which should soon be occupied to swell the shopping centre of Valley Road, where it is situated.
