TE AWAMUTU DOMAIN

FUNDS BADLY NEEDED A representative meeting of public bodies took place at Te Awamutu on Monday, when the question of domain matters was discussed. The chairman, Mr. L. G. Armstrong, stated the Domain Board was finding it extremely difficult to obtain money to keep the Redoubt reserve in order. Mr. Oliphant suggested that a new Domain Board be constituted of representatives of the borough council, the A. and P. association, the united sports bodies, beautifying society, the bowling club and the townspeople. He moved to this effect. Mr. Chittenden seconded. * After some further discussion the motion was put and lost on a show of hands.
