INFRINGEMENTS OF THE TRAFFIC LAWS
OFFENDERS PENALISED LOBRY-OWNER HEAVILY FINED Breaches of four golden rules for lorry-owners were recorded against A. Morey, an Ellerslie carrier, by Air. TV. R. McKean, S.'M., this morning. Morey was lined £ls for operating a lorry without a heavy traffic license, £1 or having no indication disc. 10s for having no driver’s? license and 10s for having no reflector. The Newmarket Borough Council’s traffic inspector told the Court that he had spoken to Morey as far back as last May. For leaving cars unattended IT. W. Taylor, A. McDonald and E. G. Hunter were fined 10s and costs. Wih Tang and E. Berks, for failing in tl.e attention due to traffic officers, were each fined 20s. For leaving her ear in a safety-zone, Dr. Hilda Xorthcroft was fined 10s and costs. J. .£■». Evans, who left a car unattended was fined 10s. Another victim. who wen? into a hotel to clean out a blocked flue, pursuant of his vacation and left his car outside was also fined 10s. G. Frankovich left a pile of metal chips on a footpath and didn’t put a light to warn pedestrians. He was fined. 10s and costs. POLICE PROSECUTIONS For negligent driving, A. L. Robson and E G. Bartlett were each fined W. G. He ires, 20s, by Mr. F. For dangerous driving, D. Dealey, HJ. Maxwell and A. F. Naylor were each fined 40.5. T. Clements was fined £6 and F. Harris £l.
