WANGANUI FIXTURE TRAINING OPERATIONS THIS MORNING’S WORK Press Associatioyi. WANGANUI, To-day. The weather was fine for the early morning training operations, and the track in good order. Thaw and Covent Garden went half a mile in 50s. Catkin and Flying Binge (53), Joy -kting (56), Bronstell and Wet Paint (53J) and Gleninnes and Joy Bird (53) also worked over four furlongs. Lysander went five furlongs in 1.3 2-5, the last four taking 51. Bent and Service left five furlongs behind in I.B*. Lausanne covered the last three of four furlongs in 39, and Tea Time also ran three furlongs in 39. After breakfast Bank Note went five furlongs by himself on the hurdle track untimed, moving well. ALLOWAY PLEASED Alloway traversed six furlongs nicely in 1.19. Limosa and Anchor covered half a mile in 53 very pleasingly. Bennanee trotted round and then sprinted three furlongs, striding out freely. Civility slipped over three furlongs in 38*. Chit ran a couple of furlongs in 27*. Carrigallen and Town Bird covered half a mile in 50, the latter shaping the better of the pair. Elysianor accomplished four furlongs in 53*. and Whenuanui five furlongs in 1.5. Nastore ran the last four of five furlongs in 53. Oration covered six furlongs in 1.19 3-5. OVER THE BATTENS Koauau and Modern went a round over the hurdles together, both jumping well. Good solid work was done by Damaris, Kiosk, Star Area, Doree, Great Charter, Mint Leaf, Te Monanui. Star Stranger, Eden Hall, Mask, Huikai and several others.
