The erection of these buildings was commenced in February, 1926, and the first car was produced on August 18. Assembly operations concentrated on Chevrolet cars and trucks until December 23, when the first Pontiac came off the line. Buick assembly with the 27 sedan model followed, the first Buick being assembled on January 21 of this year To June 1, 1927, the impressive total of 1,660 cars and trucks have been assembled.
