RAILWAYMAN KILLED
JIGGER RUN DOWN LITTLE RIVER MISHAP Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH, Monday. A fatal accident occurred this evening when the electric rail car which runs on the branch line to Little River overtook and crashed into a jigger conveying a railway employee, Frederick William Wiley. . .. , Wiley -was seriously injured and dijd soon after his admission to hospital. His left foot had been almost severed, and he had other severe injuries. The electric car travels very speedily and almost silently.
