With bridges be washed out, houses and tents down newly-created rivers, and no 1 up in the constant downpour for mSI than ninety-six hours, it was no matter for anyone to keep humoured and work effectively. Maynard and his supporting com. pany, including Dorothy Dn-an Tom Santschi, Noah Toung, Gibson’Rom land, little Billy Butts and the oth«, took the ”floed” as a great adventum and kept up their good spirits durtar the time they were prevented from working. They pitched in with a yon to aid those residents of the neigh 1 bouring towns who were injured fiaaa’ daily or physically, some being main homeless, and didn’t find a dull nsomem on their hands as a result. ™
