WORK IN THE HOUSE

reports prepared bills FOR DISCUSSION (THE SVlf’S Parliamentary Reporter.} WELLINGTON, To-day. The reports of the Lands and Survey Lands for Settlement and Industries and Commerce Departments will be brought down and laid on the table of the House this afternoon, and if members do not occupy all the afternoon in discussing them the Police and Prisons report will follow. It is unlikely that the Police and Prisons report will be reached, however, as the problems affecting the land usually give members plenty to talk about. The annual Taxing Bill, as well as the Land and Income Tax Amendment Bill will be put into committee stage at this sitting, and the Government's list of Bills now awaiting consideration" at a different stage will be reached later in the week. The time for the Rural Credits Amendment Bill and also for the Tariff resolutions, is close at hand.
