A SHELTER FOR THE LOST

Miss Lydia E. Marriott, of Hyson Green, Nottingham, who died in April last, aged 96. left £2,363. The bulk of her property she left in trust to establish a shelter for lost and starving cats, provided it shall not be used as a hospital for cats and kittens, nor used for breeding and rearing, nor for trading in cats and kittens.

No cat or kitten to be disposed of for the purpose of vivisection, it being her wish that the shelter shall be for the reception of starving and diseased cats, and for their destruction by chloroform or some other painless method
