KILLED AT THORNDON
MAN FALLS UNDER MOVING TRAIN • (Special to THE SUN.) WELLINGTON, Sunday. A man was killed at Thorndon railway station this evening when attempting to board the Limited express as it was leaving the station. A suitcase, which he held in one hand, struck a hurdle half way down the platform and flung him against the moving train. He fell between two carriages. He caught at a rail with his hand, but was draeered abo»»r 70 yards and then rolled under the wheels. A passenger on the express apolu-d the Westinghouse brake and the train was stopped a quarter of a mile further The man’s body was shockingly mutilated. His suitcase was labelled I. Taylor, and among his papers was found a motor-driver’s licence made out to William J. L. Taylor. farmer Bunnythorpe.
