Avhich was vigorously contested throughout. Both men took severe punishment, but Squires hit more cleanly, and at the conclusion had a comfortable margin of points in his favour. At the Brisbane Stadium. Hughie Dwyer retained the middle-weight championship of Australia by defeating Frankie Burns on points, in 15 rounds, after a spirited contest. —A. and
