ON THE ’CHANGE I good BUSINESS RECORDED I COALS ACTIVE Business on the ’Change has assumed a brighter tone than that ruling (or some months. Frequent sales are recorded and many shares register a firming tendency. Coals are active. and Taupiris, Waipas Renowns and Pukemiros have 'll s een sales. With the exception of the latter, which are slightly easier, the market in this section is firm at late quotations. Southern buyers are oDerating on Westports. Auckland Gas have been dealt with at 22s 9d. The shipping section has also livened up and firm buyers are in for most shares. Devonports and Northern Steams have been dealt with. Timbers are quiet, while woollens are dead.
