MISHAP TO ROYAL FEAST
MELBOURNE CUP FAVOURITE SCRATCHED FOR BIG EVENT SYDNEY, Thursday. A sensation was caused in racing circles to-day when Royal Feast, the favourite lor the Melbourne Cup, was scratched. He met with a slight accident when he was running in the Williamstown races on Saturday, and on the advice of veterinary surgeons will be immediately gelded.—A. and N.Z.
