HARTSTONE—MITCHELL

A very pretty wedding was solemnised recently at St- Andrew’s Church, Claudelands, when Isabella, fourhe daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. Mitchell, of Te Kowhai, was married by the Rev. H. G. Gilbert to W. P. Oswald Hartstone, only son of Mr. and Mrs. F. B. Hartstone, also of Te Kowhai. The bride, who entered the church on the arm of her father, was charmingly gowned in a frock of ivory crepe de chine and silver lace, hand-embroid-ered with pearls. Her embroidered veil of tulle, which was becomingly arranged beneath a coronet of orange blossoms, fell gracefully to form a short train. She carried a shower bouquet of spring flowers, intermingled with maidenhair and asparagus fern. The bridesmaids were the Misses Hily Mitchell, sister of the bride, who wore a frock of pink cyclamen georgette and silver lace, and Olive Hartstone, sister of the bridegroom, wearing apricot georgette and silver lace. Both wore crinoline hats and carried shower bouquets to tone. Mr. Jack Hartstone performed the duties of best man, and Mr. Mitchell was groomsman. After the ceremony a reception was held in a local restaurant, where the usual toasts were honoured. Hater, the happy couple left on their honeymoon amidst showers of confetti and good wishes, the bride travelling in a costume of boise de rose repp, with bat to match.
